The National Junior Honor Society at Massapequa High School’s Ames Campus recently kicked off its annual Pennies for Patients drive. The collection will run through April, and funds will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Boxes were placed in each homeroom, and students and staff are encouraged to donate their loose change over the next several weeks. Honor Society members were joined by physical education teacher Erik Lassen, who advises the club along with English language arts teacher Michelle Grossi.
